I have this question: What is the true purpose of a Designer?


-Creating choice to people?
-Giving new forms of freedom?
-Extending men's abilities?
-Creating new dreams, desires?
-Fulfilling our dreams by creating products?
-Giving control to those who produce them?
-Creating incentives for consumers and herebey oiling a the consumer society? (During today's crisis we need to consume more)
-Its purose is fjust un.
-We need to Design because creating is in men's nature.
-Society needs "bread and games". Designers create incentives for society. Governments can control us by making us happy by letting us consume?
-Design can help people with their basic needs in Development countries?
-etc...

Uhm , in my opinion combination of most of the above issues can be,
First of all if u design as a freelancer and for ur self , it will be just ur freedom to give ur idea aboat that issue.
You say this my describtion from the for example car design or product...
if u design for a special place or people that needs of that people will be ur pourpose..
these are the things that come to my mind now, I find something else I will mention it ;)
